Blazers 2008 Season Summary


The Blazers completed their 25th season with a 21-17 record and topped the ACBL in several offensive categories. The Blazers posted a .272 average and also were tops in hits, doubles and home runs. Greg Folgia (Missouri) hit .388 and won the ACBL Slugging Award with a .746 slugging percentage. Mark Angelo (Bucknell/East Stroudsburg) posted a .368 average and was second in the ACBL with a .481 on base percentage. Chris Wychock (Towson) batted .351 with three home runs while Andy Russell (Lehigh) hit .339. Vin DiFazio (Alabama) was second in the ACBL with 13 doubles and hit .300 with 21 RBI.

Defensively Randy Mower (St. Josephs) posted a 6-0 record with a 2.58 ERA in 45 innings. Alex Pracher (Stanford) had a team low ERA of 2.42 while Ryan Lally(Gloucester CC) followed closely with a 2.45 ERA. Andrew Huebner (Wagner) tied for the league lead with five saves. Mike Kacelowicz (Kutztown) topped the ACBL with 115 assists.
